I cannot seem to get the Zotero button to show up on either the address bar, or the bottom of my browser. I am using Zotero Standalone and Google Chrome.
It wouldn't show up at the bottom in Chrome (or even in Firefox, anymore) — a save icon would show up in the address bar on supported URLs. To save to Zotero from Chrome, you need to have installed the Chrome plugin from the download page.
I'm in the same boat. I've never been able to make this work with Chrome and it's so frustrating. Any new thoughts or help? I installed the chrome plugin from the download page.
Start by answering the questions we ask everyone:
Do you actually not see a URL bar icon here?

And you have the Chrome extension for Zotero installed?
If so, provide a debug ID _from the Chrome extension_ that cover loading or reloading that page:

That looks normal to me (@Dan/Simon, actually I'm a little surprised that only Open WorldCat translator is parsed for the initial detect, but I haven't looked at Chrome detect logic in a while)
@oxband, do you have any other Chrome extensions installed? Try disabling them and see if this works. And just to be sure, we're looking for this
That would be bad, since Google Translate extension is probably quite popular. I can't reproduce the issue however. Can you provide some more information about your setup? What OS are you on? Which version of Chrome are you running ( chrome://version )? Which version of Google Translate do you have installed? What settings do you have set in Google Translate (see Options link in chrome://extensions )?
Well, before doing any of that, reenable Google Translate (if you haven't yet) and confirm that the problem actually returns. I'm guessing it won't, but let's find out for sure.
so, I put google translate back on and had the problem. I'm running chrome 37.0.2062.122 . I'm running Google Translate 2.0.0. I didnt see any tab for settings. Need more info?
