Ecosystems style

The ecosystems.csl style from the repository does not correspond to what is required by the journal Ecosystems. The current style uses abbreviations for journal titles, but journal titles should be spelled out completely. Is there another style that corresponds to the requirements of this journal?
  • Do you have an (online) documentation for the journal Ecosystems which is indicating that the journal names should be spelled out? I have found in their Instructions for Authors guideline:

STYLE MANUAL: Guidelines for references, symbols, abbreviations, units of measurement, etc. may be found in Scientific Style and Format: The CBE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers, Sixth Edition, Cambridge University Press, New York.

I don't know the CBE Manual, but I have found some examples here: https://www.lib.washington.edu/help/guides/42CBE.pdf (which seem to abbreviate journal titles as well).
  • Author instructions are available online:
    http://www.springer.com/life+sciences/ecology/journal/10021

In the last part (MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION FOR ONLINE SUBMISSION), it is specified:

Guidelines for Preparing a 'Literature Cited' List
    [...]
    Spell out journal titles completely.
    [...]
Use the following formats for Literature Cited style:
    Journal Article
Elser JJ, Goldman CR . 1991. Zooplankton effects on phytoplankton in lakes of contrasting trophic status. Limnology and Oceanography 36: 64-90.
  • Okay, thank you for the information. (I should have read further in that instruction page:) I created a fix for that citation style, which should go through quickly.
  • zuphilip's fix is now live, thanks!

The updated version will appear on the repository within 30mins (check the timestamp). Update your copy of the style by clicking "Update Now" in the General tab of the Zotero preferences.

Styles also update automatically within 24hs for Zotero 4.0+
In an existing document, you may have to switch to a different style and back for the changes to take effect once the style is updated.
Any further problems please let us know & thanks for reporting
