problem installing openoffice plugin

Hello,

I am working with Mac OSX 10.8.5 and I recently installed the last version of Zotero 4.0.21.5. I also tried to install the zotero plugins for Firefox (31.0) and Openoffice 4.1.1.

But the installation for the Openoffice plugin failed and I got this report number : 321593453 with the advice to post on this forum.

In the Zotero programme, I also found this report (in the error report in the help part)

[JavaScript Error: "Component returned failure code: 0x804b0036 (NS_ERROR_SOCKET_ADDRESS_IN_USE) [nsIServerSocket.init]" {file: "file:///Applications/Zotero.app/Contents/Resources/extensions/zoteroOpenOfficeIntegration@zotero.org/components/zoteroOpenOfficeIntegration.js" line: 83}]

There seems to be a problem with java somewhere in line : 83, but as I am not a IT specialist at all, I don't know what to do.

Could anyone help me to sort this problem and have zotero properly work with my openoffice programme.

    Thanks for your answer. Yes, i retarted my computer several times. I also installed the lateste version of java for Mac OSX Montain Lion (OS X 10.8.5) a,d tried again to activate the zotero plugin from Open Office programme. I always get the same message : "could not create Java implementation loader". I saw on the Zotero online manual that this case is mentionned and the solution they propose is to update Open Office. But this is what I have done and I have now the latest version Openoffice 4.1.1. !!

    So I really can't figure out what I could do now, I am stuck !

    If anyone can tell me what to do...

    It's not listed under Mac troubleshooting, but can you confirm that your Java settings are correct in OpenOffice as per Windows instructions? https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#could_not_create_java_implementation_loader

    I had a look at this link and I did all that I could : clean up the computer (carefully) with Onyx, change the old Java 6 version that was on my Mac OSX 10.8.5 for the latest version from Oracle website JRE - java 7, uninstall - reinstall Openoffice and Libreoffice, uninstall - reinstall the extensions Zotero 4.0.21.5 and Zotero Libroffice Integration 3.5.9...

    Then I go to the Zotero 4.0.21.5 preferences. A window pops-up and annonces "The Libroffice/OpenOffice/NeoOffice add in is currently installed", I go in LibreOffice programme and opens the extension manager : the extension is in the list and I can choose between "enable" or remove button. So I choose "enable" : and I get this message "Binary URP bridge disposed during call" or sometimes (because I did it many many times) "Binary URP bridge already disposed" and then another message says
    "(com.sun.star.lang.DisposedException) { { { Message = "Binary URP bridge disposed during call", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @11ad41788 } } }"

    I have absolutely no idea about what it means.

    I also tried the manual installation version:
    - I go to the Zotero 4.0.21.5 preferences. A window pops-up and annonces "The Libroffice/OpenOffice/NeoOffice add in is currently installed" and clic on the button "reinstall Libroffice/OpenOffice/NeoOffice add in". I ALWAYS receive a vague error message advising me to try something else.

    Could anyone give me a clue about what the problem is about, I am stubborned but I don't understand. I spent already two full days on this thing...
