A Item database of everthing and for everyone

I tried zotero last week, and it's great!

I am thinking if there is a central database to store all the item information (at least all published articles), it would be useful. Several example in my mind right now:

1. we can see how an article is ratted.

2. We can get a rough impression of the importance of an item by how many items are related to that one or how many people have saved that one.

3. We can see other readers' public notes of an article.

4. Maybe there are several different place you can find a record of an article (like in several libs's websites), but there is only one publication where the article was originally published, so the central database can help people to find the original place.

5, You can search within zotero's central database the other articles of a certain author or other important or highly rating paper of a certain tag.

Anyway, you can get a lot from that database!
