Crashing

Hi, in the last month or so Zotero has been crashing more and more frequently. Today it has occurred several times already.

Any insight?

  • Check your database integrity from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences.

    Do you have your database in the default location, or is it in Dropbox, on a network share, etc.?

    Does this happen if you temporarily disable auto-sync from the Sync pane of the preferences?

    If you can reproduce this easily, provide a Debug ID for an occurrence of it.
  • Database integrity okay.
    I use local drive for database.

    Turning off auto-sync seems to have made it more stable.

    Cant reproduce on demand, but will see if turning off auto-sync keeps it stable.
  • It's generally much better to keep auto-sync enabled, though, and there's no reason that should cause a crash, so let us know if you can reproduce it.
