Patent numbers not included in citations
Its great to have so many styles to select from (https://www.zotero.org/styles). Two that are somewhat related to what I need at this time are: Welding in the World and Welding International. Unfortunately, when I create a bibliography from a patent using either one, the patent number is not included in the entry. I don't believe that this is the correct listing for either of these styles. Can someone check on this and see if they can be fixed? Thanks...

bwiernikIt should be easy to fix if that is correct. Can you please find the style guides for those journals and show where it says that the patent number should be displayed in the citation/bibliography?

adamsmithplease start a new thread with any follow-up questions, since this one is about citing patents, not importing them, but the short answer is that the pdf retrieve-metadata function isn't expected to work very well for patents. I'd recommend using the site translators (i.e. the URL bar icons) on patent sites like google patents, uspto, or Espacenet to import patents into Zotero.
