Empty standalone error

Hello,
I am using GNU/Linux Debian 7. As mentioned by another user I find the standalone version display empty. However, it shows the number of citations in the empty window. The web browser (Iceweasel, a version of Firefox for GNU/Linux) shows the all the references.

The following error message appears in the error log:

  • Ohh... sorry, I forgot to thank you all :(
  • are you running Standalone from a .deb? If so, as Dan said in that thread, this should be reported to the package maintainer.
  • Adam,
Thank you for your answer. I am in fact using a .deb package. I will post the Debian maintainer. Anyway the problem is solved. Apparently it was due to the browser-based version running in the background. After closing the browser everything went back to normal, even after I re-run the browser. My guess is that, for some reason, it is best to launch the standalone verion before the browser.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Mendieta
