Add "web page" as a content type under the green plus sign

Oddly, one can not create a reference of type "web page". Is this purposeful?

    I believe there used to be such a dedicated type, but my opinion has always been that this doesn't really make much sense. A webpage is just an HTML "document" that happens to be available over HTTP. If you are dealing with a New York Times article that's on the web, the latter fact is incidental.

    It is still a dedicated type (used by "create item from current page" & selectable in the type chooser in the right-most pane).
