Firefox crashes every time I open zotero pane

Hi, I am a new zotero user. Every time I open zotero pane ( 'z' in the Firefox browser window ), Firefox crashes. It just disappears, (doesn't freeze, it crashes). As a result I am unable to add references to zotero, however saving references in zotero and citing it on Microsoft word is working fine. Kindly help me out on this. Right now zotero library contains around 35-40 references, but with research work it is going to build up and is very inconvenient to have Firefox crash every time

    If so, type about:crashes in the Firefox address bar, find a relevant crash (by timestamp), click through it, and post the Mozilla URL here.

    I had recurrent problem with firefox crashing, so i reset firefox settings to default and downloaded zotero again. In that process i lost a lot of my library . The articles that i had saved, are not showing in zotero pane or the zotero homepage library. However in msword i am still able to generate a bibliography. whether there is a problem in syncing the data.. i donot know. Kindly guide.
    Firefox is not crashing for now.
