Import to standalone from Chrome: no more available: ID:695550809

Hello everybody and thank you for your help,

So far I used to import references from chrome to ma standalone zotero version and it did very goog staff.
But since a few days, after my hollydays and some update? It doesn't work anymore?

Every time I want to import I have to login on online?
Could you help me to import my references directly to standalone version without login on line.

Thank you for your help
HB
  • Are you using a proxy? Try disabling any security software that you may have. Zotero Standalone is open when you're trying to import, right?
  • Thank you Aurimas for your anwser, ID:695550809.

I use a proxy, I didn't change internet security settings and zotero connector stop working.

But I get a malware during this summer?!. I use CCleaner and ADWcleaner to fix it. Maybe they change something during cleaning?

So I deleted chrome and zotero I reinstalled it. But I keep zotero personnal data and configuration to saved my labrairy.

maybe I should suppress zotero and personnal settings? But Can I save my librairy (references and supplementary file pdf...)and reinstalled it like before suppression?

When I check options of Chome connector extension I can read
    "Zotero Standalone is currently unavailable".

    Thank you for your help,

  • maybe I should suppress zotero and personnal settings?
    No, don't do that.

Whether or not you changed anything, you'll need to try disabling your security software, and you should also check your system proxy settings to make sure that the host 127.0.0.1 is excluded from proxying (which it should be by default).
  • Basically, if you go to http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping in your browser, you should see "Endpoint does not support method" and (assuming you're on windows) pasting the following in the RUN dialog (Win + R) cmd /C "netstat -a -n -o | find "23116" && PAUSE" should show something like TCP 127.0.0.1:23116 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 5656(specifically, LISTENING)
  • Dear Stillman, Dear Aurimas,

Thank you very very much for your help!
You found the solution!! it works like before!!

    VIVA ZOTERO!!

  • Great. What fixed it? Excluding 127.0.0.1 from proxying?
  • YES!!
If I understand, 127.0.0.1 is my local computer. When I excluded it from proxy, all my importations to standalone zotero works properly.

    thank you again,
    Best Regards
