Moving from "Advanced Search" gives "An error has occured..."

Since several weeks something happened to my database that sounds very similar to the problem that schwa0 has (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/35405). I also have had my Zotero database always on a separate server and never had any trouble accessing it (using the same database for over 5 years this way). The trouble for me only occurs when doing an Advanced Search and moving a citation towards one of the maps. Then the database freezes. It does not happen when moving citations between maps and also not when I first "Save Search" and then move from the citation from the saved search.

I do not see how this could be due to a corrupted database (anyway I tried to repair it using your service with ID:53d275bda66a4 without effect). I also do not see how it can be due to permission issues since moving the whole database to my default profile does not make any difference.

Same happens on windows and Linux Standalone and firefox version independent on where the database is housed and after rebuilding it from the server.

Version 4.0.21.2
Standalone version
Windows7Pro SP1

KUBUNTU
Firefox 31.0
Version 4.0.21.5

The debug report from the standalone version:
The Debug ID is D749141398.

Thank you, it would be painful building it all up from scratch again...
  • This isn't related to that other thread in any way. This is just a bug when dragging from the Advanced Search window. Reported here as well.

As a workaround until this fixed, just save the search and drag from the saved search.
  • Yes I see that, OK so it is a bug in the program and not related to some error in the database. I got worried...
  • This should now be fixed in the latest 4.0 Beta, and the fix will be included in 4.0.23.
