backup problem--appdata not listed in computer directory

Trying to backup Zotero on my PC after not using it for a long time. As usual found its location under Advanced Preferences in Zotero. Closed Mozilla and tried to find the same spot on my computer. But the 2nd element in the chain, "Appdata", didn't appear. I tried skipping it and going straight to the next element, "Roaming", but that direcctory only contained "Intel." Searching for "appdata" yielded nothing useful.

    AppData is a hidden folder on Windows. You need to unhide these folders to see it.

    Click View in the ribbon of Windows Explorer, then Options, then View. In the list, click "Show hidden files, folders, and drives"
