Zotfile Automatic Renaming

How does Zotfile automatic renaming work? Does Zotfile rename *every* attachment in your library (whether linked or stored)?

Does it just rename newly downloaded files?

Can these settings be changed?

    it only renames new ones, it renames stored files as well as files it links itself, but not files linked by you. You can manually rename existing stored files (though, I believe, not linked--unless you let Zotfile move them).

    You can read up in the manual what exactly you can change, but you can't directly change any of the above.
