Bibliography

Hello,
I am having a problem with creating the bibliography for the first time since I started using Zotero early this year. When I click the add bibliography button, it only creates half of the articles that I had citations inside the text. What surprises me a lot is that I only have it in this specific document. It seems I might have changed a configuration. Can anyone have a guess for what the problem is ?
  • My guess is that you somehow managed to remove fields codes for half of your citations (maybe by saving the document in a format that does not preserve them). Find one of the in-text citations that is not being included in the bibliography, place your cursor on it, and click Edit Citation. If you're able to edit it, then it should show up in the bibliography and you may be experiencing some other issue. If not, you will have to re-insert it.
  • Also, which word processor are you using and what OS?
  • Hi Aurims,
Thanks a lot for your answer. I tried it and I can edit it but still it doesn't show up in the library. The weird thing is that when I copy paste it to a new word document and add bibliography in it, it shows up in the document.
My word processor is MS Word for mac os
  • Have you tried removing and reinserting the bibliography?
  • Also, are the missing items seemingly random, or do the stop being included after a certain point in the document? E.g. new citations after page 5 don't appear
  • yeah, my guess would be that the issue is with the last citation that appears or the first one that doesn't. I'd try deleting it from the doc and the re-inserting. Hopefully there aren't too many instances of it.
  • no it is not random. it stops after a certain point.
  • it is like magic. I applied your suggestion. I deleted the reference that is the last one that appears and it is solved. Thanks a lot.. I really did not have any hope of having a solution with this problem.. you saved a lot of time for me!!
