Importing journal publications

When trying to download publication data from a journal using its DOI, Zotero downloads PDF only when saving it.
How to import all other information associated with the article (like Figures, tables, supplementary information etc.).
Example DOI: 10.1073/pnas.0712181105

For supplementary information, see https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/21880/supplementary-information/ (though PNAS may not be spurred yet) Zotero doesn't have the ability to download figures and tables separately. Also, note that your would have to be importing the article from a web browser (currently only via Firefox) and not via Add by Identifier
