Style problems: Analytica Chimica Acta

The style Analytica Chimica Acta uses bold for the citation markers in my document, yet the style csl itself doesn't include bold here. I have tried editing it to include style-weight = "normal" in the citation section, and yet the citations are still bold!!

Is this a known problem and is there any solution??

    I can't reproduce this in Word 2007. Maybe you can try to select another style and then switch back to Analytica Chimica Acta. Does that change anything?

    Looks fine in OpenOffice.org too. The output of this style is very close to the elsevier-without-titles style. You might see if this latter style works for you.

    Hmm, switching styles doesn't help, but it seems like this is some sort of global issue - all the styles that I have tried are coming up in bold. I recently finished a document using Zotero and had no problems, so I'm not sure what could have caused this switch to bold. Is there a global switch somewhere?

    In case it is useful, I am using Word XP, and still have Endnote (blech) installed until I can switch over completely.

    Perhaps the citations are formatted by a style selected in Word. If you place the cursor within a citation box, what text style does the formatting-toolbar indicate? If the style that is used differs from that of the rest of the text, open the styles and formatting-toolbar ("Format">"Styles and Formatting..." in Word 2003) and modify the style used for the citations to no longer use bold.

    It does show up as bold on the Word formatting icon, and I can switch it back to normal by turning bold off there. Unfortunately, as soon as I do anything in Zotero after that that requires reformatting, the bold is back.

    Aha, that fixes it - it was the style that was causing the problem. Not sure why the citations were in a different style to the body text, but it is better now.
