Transferred Files Out of Order

Hello,
I've had a great Zotero library on my PC for the last year. When I got a Mac using Windows 7 for my new job, I tried to transfer the files using the copy-paste method and the sync method explained in the Zotero support pages. Both methods transfer the library, but put all the files in one massive library, not keeping any of the folders on the far left of Zotero.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Please explain exactly what steps you followed

    That's highly unlike, collections don't just vanish if you transfer your database, they're part of the data - is it possible that you just have your left hand panel collapsed/vanished on your Mac? Do you see the left panel where the collections are in Windows at all?
    Or maybe you have them all collapsed under My Library - click on the little triangle next to it to expand.

    Oh my goodness, I'm such an idiot. I didn't realize that the triangles did that since I never closed the folders on my old Zotero.
