Can't import bulk PDF files

I've somehow done this in the past, but I can't seem to import a folder of PDF files into my Zotero library. I thought I had just highlighted the files and dragged them onto the stand-alone Zotero, but nothing happens now when I try.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    that should work. If drag&drop fails, you can use "store copy of file" under the green plus icon and then select multiple files in the browse dialog.

    Whew, that worked! Wonder why drag & drop didn't work? But the files are in now.

    Windows XP (we're upgrading to Windows 7 this month. Still years before the rest of the world!)
