Zotero experienced an error updating your document

Firefox just updated to 29 and now my word document won't relate to zotero. Mac 10.7.5, Word for mac 2011

Zotero experienced an error updating your document.
assignment to undeclared variable needUpdate

I now can't use the zotero menu in Word at all. Anything I can do?

    I assume you've restarted your computer?
    If so - same issue in a new document?

    Make sure you have the latest version of the Word for Mac plugin.

    Yes, I did check that I had the latest word for mac plugin and did restart the computer. Still the same issue.

    I have just replaced firefox 29 with firefox 28
    http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/28.0/mac/en-GB/

    It works fine now.

    I have the same issue (even after restarting and in another Word document). It seems the first time I enter a citation there it works fine but no further citations can be made without evoking this error message.

    I recently updated to Firefox 29.0. I have the latest Word plug-in 3.1.16.

    alexdoruyter: You're running Zotero 4.0.12, which is quite out of date. Upgrade to the latest version.

    I have same problem with Zotero 4.0.14, FireFox 30, World 2013 and Win 8 :o(.
