RSC Publishing

Hey,

The translator for RSC publishing is not working for me. I checked a few journals (such as Chemical Communications, RSC Advances and Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry) but Zotero only saves the title, journal title, abstract and URL.
They mentioned some problems with their website some time ago, maybe they changed the website slightly?

    Went through them but as I stated before it is just the RSC publishing translator that doesn't work. The Zotero icon is there, it uses the correct translator (RSC Publishing) but it doen't save all the information (no PDF, no authors etc).

    Different translators seem to be functioning correctly.

    I don't think the errors are relevant to my current problem but the error ID is: 631962752

    Moreover I'm using Zotero 4.0.20.1 for Firefox (25.0.1) on a Windows 7 computer.

    Thanks. I can reproduce this.

    On a technical note, RSC embeds <meta> tags in the <body> of the document instead of the <head>, which is non-standard way of using them (at least the way they have it). We recently changed the behavior of embedded metadata translators to only consider the <head>.

    I think you/we should report this to RSC and have them fix it. It's probably better for search engines as well.

    I added a (temporary) workaround for this. Update your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update now and see if it works.
