Transferring ownership of group
Our team at work all use a group, but the group 'owner' is now leaving the organisation. I understand that we need to tranfer ownership to another group member. That member hasn't purchased extra storage, but the group library is larger than the free storage quota. Does that member need to purchase extra capacity in order for files to be transfered to them? Or do the files themselves not get transferred? Is it possible to transfer the current owner's storage quota to the new owner?
Thanks in advance

adamsmithThe files should presumably already be on the local machines of all group members if they have synced. What will happen once you transfer ownership is that once you transfer group membership, file syncing will stop to work for the group and you won't be able to sync new files to the group library. The old files >300MB will remain available for a grace period (30days I believe, maybe longer) and then be deleted from the server, though never from your local copies of Zotero. You won't be able to transfer storage between users, no.

bwiernikIn your situation, it might be a good idea to set up a separate account for the organisation that is the owner of your groups and for which storage is purchased, rather than having groups owned by a specific person. That way, when a situation like this occurs, there is less mess with needing to find a suitable owner.
