Invalid install package error

Hi,
when the download completes and I ask Firefox to install zotero 1.0.3 , i get an error message that Firefox can not install it: Not a valid install package
-207

I hope that someone has a solution for this problem, or can tell what to do next.....
  • Tested another computer with identical Firefox 2.0.0.12 and now on Vista. Works without problems.
First Computer was running on XP [latest updates incl].
  • Hi, I have this same problem. I tried installing under Fedora core 8 and Firefox 2, then on Firefox 3, and it keeps raising the same error.

Previously I installed Zotero without problems in another computer, running Vista and Firefox 3.

The strange thing is, another computer next to me with Fedora core 8 and Firefox 2 intalled it without problems. I really don't know what else to try, any thoughts?
  • 1) Clear your browser cache.
    2) Try again.
    3) Try the steps under Corrupt extension files on the Mozilla add-ons troubleshooting page.
    4) Try the other steps on that page.
    5) Try downloading the XPI with another browser and dragging it into Firefox.
  • Ok, downloading the xpi didn't work, but for some weird reason i closed and opened ff3 and now I could install it without any problem from the webpage.

    Thanks!
