Word 2011 for Mac: plugin installed but citations don't show up

I installed the Word plugin on my new Macbook. The toolbar shows up and when I click "insert citation," the field shows up, but none of my citations are there. Everything is there when I look in my browser, but it seems like it isn't connected to the plugin. When I choose "classic view," it shows the Zotero quick start guide and nothing else. How can I get the plugin to recognize my account and link to my citations?

    Which Zotero version do you have installed? Are you sure you're not just looking at your online library, but actually at your library in the Zotero software?

    Where exactly are you looking? Are you using Firefox with Zotero extension? Sounds to me like you're looking on zotero.org. You should be looking either in Zotero Standalone or Zotero in Firefox (bottom right corner, there should be a Zotero button). It also sounds like you either don't have your Zotero Standalone/Zotero Firefox configured correctly to sync with zotero.org or share data directory.

    Thanks, folks, I figured it out. I didn't have things synched correctly.
