Add-ons manager frozen since update to Windows 8
I recently upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and so had to reinstall Zotero standalone. I use several add-ons such as Zotfile, and am attempting to install them by going to 'Tools' -> 'Add-ons', and then 'Install Add-on From File' from the drop down gear menu. However, when the 'Add-ons Manager' window opens after clicking on 'Tools' -> 'Add-ons' I get a 'loading' dialogue box and the window becomes unresponsive so that I am unable to click on 'Install Add-ons From File'. Anybody have a clue as to what's wrong or how I might fix it?

Since we haven't had any reports of this, I'd try re-installing Zotero (while you should, of course, always have a back-up of all important data, re-installing will not affect your Zotero data, so should be quick).
If you can't provide a regular report ID and re-installing doesn't help, Dan would probably want real-time debug output:

The error message is identical to Dan Stillman's, above. When I select Tools>Add-ons a box appears with "Loading" and a dot wheel in the middle. Selecting the tools under the gear icon makes nothing happen. Thanks for your help!

You click on "Extensions" on the left. Okay!
