Report ID: 1975501422 Resurrecting OLD Zotero Library
I have not used/synced my Zotero library for several years, but have kept an archived copy of all my files on my hard drive so that I have copies of all pdf files, word docs, etc within the Zotero Library on my Mac, but I never synced the documents on the Zotero server before.
I accessed my zotero library on my Mac without problem using the Zotero app for Mac and can access files, pdfs and the file structure looks the same as My Library on the zotero website using Safari.
I cleaned out some things using my Zotero Mac app and then tried to sync the updated library to include sync of all pdfs and docs. I kept getting an error report after restarting Zotero and restarting my Mac a couple of times.
I went online and realized I was bumping up against the 300MB limit for free storage, so I upgraded my storage to 2GB. (The entire zotero library folder on my Mac is about 1.2 GB) but continue to have the same Sync error.
I suspect the problem syncing has to do with the fact I have not used Zotero in a few years. I would be fine starting over and using the local version of my Zotero library to populate the online library.
Many thanks,
Carol Simon
