TypeError: fname is undefined (chrome://zotfile/content/zotfile.js, 1458)

This error appears every time I add books from amazon.com


what is it?
what can be done with this?

    where/how does that error appear? Just in the error report?
    Or do you actually get an error message?

    in a small pop up window on the right, on the bottom
    the window says
    "ZotFile error!
    Unknown error!
    (Click here to get details unknown
    errors to the clipboard)"

    The window appears right after the window that says that the books has been added (and they are added all right!).

    Then I open a notepad, click "paste" and get the following information:

    "TypeError: fname is undefined
    (chrome://zotfile/content/zotfile.js, 1458)"

    Every time it is the same text in the notepad.

    that's an error of the ZotFile add-on, not of Zotero itself.
    You should first make sure you have the most recent version of Zotfile (3.1 or a recent beta) under tools-->add-ons in Firefox/Zotero Standalone.
    If that's the case, report this in the ZotFile thread:

    together with your version number any non-default settings you have in the ZotFile preferences.
