reset from server not working

Hello,
I moved from a laptop to a new desktop computer at work and have been trying to import the items from My Library (Zotero online)of 9287 items (this is correct)into Firefox.

But after (reset) syncing to the server, I only get 354 items in the local desktop Zotero (Firefox) out of the 9287 items from the online My Library (which is also what I had on my laptop). I also generated an error report ID# 9287 in the process. I've tried this three times now.

I've tried to also manually copy the "zotero" file from the laptop (under Profiles) with the 9287 items over to the new desktop after deleting the new (and wrong) zotero file with only 354 items. Still, I end up with only 354 items.

I've tried disabling and reinstalling zotero on the desktop, too, with no avail.

The most recent worry is now I get a message that I've exceeded Zotero's File Storage Data limit ("97X39VF8.xip (853 KB)") by the spinning arrow on the zotero firefox pane.

As I do not save any PDFs in My Library on the zotero server and I have not added any new entries today, I do not know why this is the case.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

    I assume (hope) you mean reset _from_ server - but as the preferences say, you shouldn't do that unless specifically directed to. Just use regular sync.

    presumably because of webpage snapshots. You likely have file syncing enabled on the new computer. You can just disable that, regular syncing will continue.

    this is incredibly odd and I really don't see any way it could possibly happen. What do you mean by "the zotero file" - the entire data directory I take it? That should most definitely work. How exactly are you counting the number of items?
    Also, is there any chance you have two Zotero accounts?

    Problem solved! My mistake - I was just looking in a subfolder, not my main library folder.

    All 9287 items are there now (and the way I am counting my items is by going to My Library at at the bottom of the first page where I see: "[page] 1 to 25 of 9287" And I see the number of items in each folder by looking at the right pane where it states "354 items in this view".

    Thanks for the tip about disabling the file syncing!
