zotero stops working after every new add-on install

Zotero stops working after every new firefox add on install. The zotero icon disappears from the bottow right corner and zotero functions cannot be invoked by right clicking. My saving grace is having to delete the extensions.rdf, extensions.ini and extensions.cache files from the mozilla folder to get it working. I find zotero super, but there are other add-on I particularly want. Any help on this would be welcomed.

    Beyond deleting the extension files you list, you could try moving your data (Firefox, Zotero and otherwise) to a new profile, as something is likely corrupted in your current one. You could also try disabling your other extensions before installing a new one.
