DOI translator or something else is not working properly / Bug-ID: 1710108628

Hi to all,

I am not quite sure whether my problem is more to the DOI-translator or to a bug in the doi-syntax with some publishers:

Until no without success I tried to get the item with doi:10.1787/5jzb6vwk338x-en into my zotero (its the latest version); it's a report from the OECD Economics Department Working Papers.

The message from the program is: "Zotero could not find a record for the specified identifier. Please verify the identifier and try again".

Using citavi 4, there is no problem with the doi translator: there I get the full record.

The only way to get the full record to this item in my zotero, is to save it in endnote format and than import it to zotero. Only the pdf-attachment has to be added manually.

There are other instances, where the doi translator works gives the full record and attachment to my zotero: i.e. 10.1371/journal.pbio.0020449

    we don't currently support reports via DOI, though adding support won't be terribly hard, so we'll probably do that pretty soon.

    But I get a URL bar icon for import from http://www.oecd-ilibrary.org/economics/fairly-sharing-the-social-impact-of-the-crisis-in-greece_5jzb6vwk338x-en

    does that not work for you? (also attaches the PDF automatically, btw., at least if you have access)

    DOI translator should not attach a PDF (it currently can't), so I'm not really clear on how you're adding items via DOI

    @adamsmith: Indeed, it works - but only without giving the doi. One suggestion: Zotero interpretes the doc-type as "report", not as "article".

    @aurimas: You are right. Sorry for the wrong information. At least, the item is interpreted as "article" and the doi is mentioned within the record.

    I'm not sure how you are "giving" the DOI. And yes, Zotero interprets this as a report, as it should. Working papers are treated as reports in Zotero across the board (see e.g. imports from SSRN and NBER)

    @adamsmith: The field with the doi is missing. Sorry for my not so good English.

    oh right, we don't have DOIs for reports at this time. That will be fixed in Zotero 4.2

    ok, import via DOI works now for this, but if you have the choice, I'd always go straight through the OECD site, which provides richer data
