Can't Access Dead Object Error ID 11746062

Hello,
I'm trying to sync, and the green arrow spins for about a second, then stops and I get the error message above. I'm using a MacBook Pro running OS 10.9.1 using Firefox 27.0 though I just noticed when I checked the version number it said, "restart to update," (I'll try that) and Zotero version 4.0.17.1

  • That error message ("Can't Access Dead Object") appears in the first dialog you see when you click on the sync error icon? Because we've never seen that, and it's not showing up in the error report you submitted. If you can reproduce this reliably, restart Firefox, trigger it immediately, and submit another Report ID.

    Yes, the error message appeared right away when I clicked on that dreaded red exclamation point icon.
    However, after I discovered that I needed to update Firefox, I should have restarted Firefox and updated it first before posting here. Sorry about that.
    Because the good news is that after I did restart Firefox, and tried to sync again, Zotero sync again worked like a charm.
    Thanks for your prompt response - and on a weekend no less. Do you ever get any respite from our constant complaining? In any case, I, and I'm sure scads of other Zotero users, appreciate your help.
