[Ask for help]Cannot save amazon site to my library.

    I sort by date and nothing recent shows up. I go to sync instructions: "Many of Zotero's features can be customized via the Zotero preferences window. The window can be accessed by opening the Zotero pane, clicking the “Actions” button (the 'gear' icon) at the top of the left column, and selecting the “Preferences…” option. With Zotero for Firefox you can also select “Add-ons” in the Firefox “Tools” menu, look up the entry for Zotero and click the “Options” button. With Zotero Standalone you can also access the preferences by selecting “Options…” in the Tools menu." I don't see a preferences window or an actions button or a gear icon. What am I missing?

    you're looking on the webpage, you're not looking at the actual software, which, while a Firefox add-on, saves items locally on your computer.

    on how to open Zotero. You'll probably also want to watch the video, which, while a bit dated, will give you a good idea of the basics.

    I guess I do not understand why the saved articles do not automatically sync to Zotero. I have been using Zotero for five years and have not had a problem saving until the Amazon feature kicked in. I will review the quick start guide to see if there is some setting I have to change to make the items sync appropriately with the Amazon link. Thank you very much for your help!

    well, something with sync isn't working - but surely you haven't been using Zotero for 5 years and have only every looked at the webpage and never used the Zotero pane? Maybe we're talking past each other, but it really sounds like you're mainly just looking the wrong place.

    edit: also, which "Amazon feature" kicked in?
