allowing my groups to see my personal library

I'm a newcomer and have zotero working in standalone mode and on firefox.
I have had someone create a large bibliography on zotero of resources on local development.
I created a group for some users called ldnet. I want them to see my main ldnet collections but cannot find a way to make the link. I can see this collection in my own library but can see no way of opening this up publicly or giving this select group a way of seeing it.
When I go in as a member of the group I can't see any records at all. I'm sure this is a trivial problem but I am stuck.
  • I'm a bit confused by what seems to be a contradiction between your post and its title. Are you trying to share items in a group or allow users to see your personal library?
    The two are separate.
  • If you want to collaborate on a bibliography you will want to use a group (as you are right now) and drag the items you want to share into that group (you can also save items directly to the group). You cannot collaborate using your personal library. You can only make it visible to everyone online.
  • Ideally I would share items in my group, but I can’t do that until I can find a way of copying them from my private library to the group. so far I found no way of doing this
  • Drag and drop. Either items or entire collections
  • the group will show up in Zotero at the bottom of the left hand panel (this is in the software, not on the webpage). There, as aurimas says, just drag&drop.
