Name order inconsistent

My Zotero citations in Firefox are all listed Lastname, Firstname. However, when I cite them in Word, sometimes the books/articles are cited as FirstName LastName and sometimes LastName, FirstName- all in the same document and sometimes, when there are multiple authors, even in the same reference. Is there a way to fix this inconsistency? Thanks,

Marta
  • which citation style?
  • Thanks Adam. Chicago (full). Inconsistency happens in both to my citations and bibliography. Any ideas?
  • So here's what you _should_ be seeing:
    In citations:
All names are in "Firstname Lastname" order
    In the bibliography:
First listed name is in "Lastname, Firstname" order. All other names are in "Firstname Lastname" order.

Are you sure that's not the case?
If not, what is an example? Double check that item's data in Zotero.
  • Let me give you an example out of my bibliography:

Benjamin Forest, and Juliet Johnson. “Unraveling the Threads of History: Soviet-Era Monuments and Post-Soviet National Identity in Moscow.” Annals of the Association of American Geographers 92, no. 3 (2002): 524–547.

I have confirmed the correct Last Name and First name in Zotero but it doesn't show up that way in my biblio.

    More puzzling:

Balfour, Alan H., and Shiling Zheng. World Cities: Shanghai. Chichester, West Sussex: Wiley-Academy, 2002.

    When it should be:

Balfour, Alan H., and Zheng, Shiling. World Cities: Shanghai. Chichester, West Sussex: Wiley-Academy, 2002.
(Inconsistency within the SAME citation- both authors have correctly inputted information)

Any ideas how I can easily fix this?
  • Balfour, Alan H., and Shiling Zheng. World Cities: Shanghai. Chichester, West Sussex: Wiley-Academy, 2002.

is correct Chicago style. That's what you're supposed to get.

So the only puzzling thing here is "Benjamin Forest" and I can not replicate that with correctly input data.

    Using the straight import from
    http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1111/1467-8306.00303#.UubF0ENlAwk
    I get
Forest, Benjamin, and Juliet Johnson. “Unraveling the Threads of History: Soviet–Era Monuments and Post–Soviet National Identity in Moscow.” Annals of the Association of American Geographers 92, no. 3 (2002): 524–547. doi:10.1111/1467-8306.00303.
  • It's ok, I just fixed it manually. Thanks anyway.
