How do we get INTO Zotero on a MAC?

I watched the demo video and it mentioned I'd see the icon at the bottom but I think that's for windows. How do we start Zotero on a MAC?

    I don't know if FireFox is different on a Mac or not, but on a PC you need to make sure that the status bar is enabled: View/Status Bar.

    Does that solve the problem?

    jar2: Being on a Mac doesn't make a difference. Is Zotero listed under the Tools menu, and in Tools->Add-ons->Extensions?
