Formatting the Date Column

The date column looks quite ugly, I would like to change the format
Can I do that ?

    no, though there is a year column.

    The Year column informs on the item publication, not Date Added
    A different format to Date Added is thus not possible ? do you plan to implement it ?

    I don't think so, no.

    though if this is about the US date order for date added, that's a mozilla bug that's fixable:
