How do storage limits work for group libraries?

Hi. I'm confused about how storage limits work in the context of group libraries. I'm a member of a group library that recently upgraded to 2G of storage, and after the upgrade, I moved all the files in my personal library into the group library. My personal library is now empty, but my account still says my storage quota is 86% filled.

Thanks in advance.
  • Did you empty the trash after you deleted things from your personal library?
  • (and in case that's relevant - any files in groups that you _own_ count towards your storage quota)
  • I did empty the trash, but my storage usage hasn't changed. How can I tell which files I own within the group folder, and is there a way to cede ownership so that those files only detract from the group storage space?

no, no, that's not what I'm saying. You don't own individual files in a group. You either own the entire group or not.

edit: I see how it wasn't clear which noun "own" refers to in my post, sorry about that - it refers to groups, not to "any files".
