Transfer of group ownership - server error

Hi there! I tried to transfer the ownership of a group to my colleague who received the confirmation email and tried to visit the indicated website. She tried it several times but came always to an error-page: >>Server Error: something went wrong processing your request.<< Could you please help us? Thanks!
  • The name of the group is Verlust der Nacht.
  • Any suggestions? We still have the same problem.

  • At the very least this was a useless feedback message with an expected failure. There is marginally better feedback now if there is not actually a pending ownership transfer (access denied rather than a generic server error) and logging for me to debug. Can you send the invite again and let me know the results?

    Also, after you make the ownership transfer option, refresh the settings page to make sure it still says the offer to transfer is pending.

    We tried it again and now we received the error: "access denied. you do not have access to this area".
  • Did you try beginning the transfer again? When I checked there was no transfer pending which would give that response if he just clicked a link from an old attempt.

    Did you check in the group settings to make sure it said there is a transfer pending?
  • Yes, I did a new transfer trial and checked afterwards by refreshing the settings page if the transfer offer is still pending. It was. After my colleague followed the link in the confirmation email, it wasn't pending any more. She tried to follow the link from her email-program as well as from the zotero inbox and always received the "access denied" error.
  • Alright. I was able to reproduce this. I believe it should be fixed if you try again now.
  • We tried it again, unfortunately with the same result: access denied. However, now, the transfer is still pending, although she already followed the link in the new email.
