Case title and languages

I have seen that there is a problem with the case of the titles. When one uses the 'text-case="title"' function for chapters of book (for example, conference proceedings), there is a problem when the language of the book is different of the language of the article. For instance: if one quotes an article written in English (with an English title) in proceedings edited in French (with a French title), the style will either capitalize both the titles, either capitalize none of them. I have tried to change the style and set the function off, but then no title if, of course, capitalized, which causes me troubles.
I would like to know if there is a way to fix that. I am afraid there is not, as it would require two language fields, one for the article, and the other for the book title, but I still hope. It is planned to insert this function?
Thank you in advance.
  • you're right, there is no way to do that currently.
You can, of course, set the language to French to disable title casing and then just enter the English title in title case as a workaround, though that will break sentence case on other occasions.
  • Thank you very much. Indeed, that is what I will have to do. I have set the title case off in the stylesheet, and I will do the English title case myself.
