Shows different data in references

All of my thesis references show up in the format author, year like this:
(Winter, 2007). This is how I want things to look. However some references show up differently with a title of a book instead of the author like this: (Theories of the policy process, 2007)- The title being in italics.
Why is that, and how do i change it so that all references show up with the same info (author, year)
Thanks in advance.
  • Does the entry (Theories of the policy process, 2007)have an author listed in the Zotero item?
  • Thankyou. I checked for author, and he was there, but he was listed as a contributor, since it is an anthology. I changed him to editor, and that seemes to have fixed the reference problem. However we still have the problem, that there is no obvious way to handle anthologies in Zotero.
  • If by "anthology" you just mean an edited book like Sabatier's Theories of the Policy Press I don't quite see where the problem is: you add it as a regular book and make sure the editor is labelled as an editor. If you're talking about something different, could you provide an example?
  • Yes, it is that book. I guess i just list different contributors if i am referencing to a text written by someone else, and then add the chapter or page in a prefix.
  • no. For chapters in an edited book see
    http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/edited_volumes_and_book_chapters
absolutely don't do this with prefixes.
