"Available at: [Accessed DATE]" showing up in bibliography

I am having a problem with the citation style [American Phytopathological Society (numeric)]. I don't want "Available at http://www.xxxxx [Accessed (date)" to appear in my bibliography, but it does. I have disabled the URL option under Preferences. In example 1, I edited the citation in my library to include the journal volume and page number, but it isn't showing up in my Word bibliography. In Example 2, I have the journal and page numbers, but am still getting all this extra info that I don't want. In Example 3, I get [electronic resource] included, which I also don't want.

Example 1:
Brasier, C. M., Franceschini, S., Vettraino, A., Hansen, E. M., Green, S., Robin, C., et al. Four phenotypically and phylogenetically distinct lineages in Phytophthora lateralis. Fungal Biol. Available at: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1878614612001717?v=s5 [Accessed November 16, 2012].

Example 2:
Donahoo, R., Blomquist, C. L., Thomas, S. L., Moulton, J. K., Cooke, D. E. L., and Lamour, K. H. 2006. Phytophthora foliorum sp. nov., a new species causing leaf blight of azalea. Mycol. Res. 110:1309–1322 Available at: [Accessed February 18, 2013].

Example 3:
Brasier, C. M. 2008. The biosecurity threat to the UK and global environment from international trade in plants [electronic resource]. Plant Pathol. 57:792–808
  • Let's treat 1) as a separate issue, covered here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/33406/editing-of-citations-in-zotero-library-not-reflected-in-word-bibliography/#Comment_173157

    2) is a bug in that particular style. We'll fix it.

    3) is almost certainly part of the title of the item in Zotero. You should remove [electronic resource] from the title field. If you can tell use where you get that item from (check the Library Catalog field) we can see if we can fix this on import.
  • I will check #1 now.

Regarding #2, if you're fixing this bug, could you also fix another problem with this style? Please add a period after the page numbers for this style, for example:

Mycol. Res. 110:1309–1322 should be Mycol. Res. 110:1309–1322.

For #3, the Library Catalog field for this citation is blank.

    Thank you.
  • #2 will do
#3 - any other idea where you may have gotten that from? Maybe imported from another reference manager?
  • I may have downloaded the citation using something other than Zotero, but I don't think I imported it from another reference manager.

    Thanks for fixing the bugs.
  • Just wondering when you think the two bugs in the American Phytopathological Society (numeric) style might be fixed. Apparently this style was last updated 8/29/13. Thanks.
  • The style is now fixed. The updated version will appear on the repository within 30mins (check the timestamp). Update your copy of the style by clicking "Update Now" in the General tab of the Zotero preferences.

Styles also update automatically within 24hs for Zotero 4.0+
In an existing document, you may have to switch to a different style and back for the changes to take effect once the style is updated.
Any further problems please let us know & thanks for reporting
