Problem in Firefox

Hello everyone, I have a question about zotero display, this is my bug report number: 1069945633. I am using zotero for Firefox. System fonts seem to have some problems, do not know what the problem, in addition, standalone versions of zotero display is normal, the following links are displayed 1,2 contrast, I want to know how to solve this problem, thank you very much.

  • The issue in #1 is that the bottoms of the lines are cut off?

    Have you tried changing the font size in the General pane of the Zotero preferences and restarting Firefox? (That might just make all the fonts bigger and still leave them cut off, in which case we'd have to have you play around with particular style settings.)

    I'm not clear on the issue in #2.
  • Oh, sorry, I guess #2 is just Standalone and therefore correct?

    Yes, I've tried to modify firefox(zotero) system font, but the problem still exists....
  • But have you tried to modify Zotero's own font size, from the Zotero preferences?

  • I'm not sure why no one else has reported this, so it may be something specific to your system. One fix would probably involve creating a userChrome.css file in the 'chrome' subdirectory of the Firefox profile directory with something like this in it:

    #zotero-pane treechildren::-moz-tree-row {
    height: 20px !important;
    }

    And then restart Firefox. You might need to adjust the height value, but that's the basic idea.

    I'm curious, though, whether the Firefox bookmarks window has the same problem.

    Also, from your screenshot it looks like you have Zotero on the smallest font size. I was curious whether you'd tried a larger one (in case the font you're using simply doesn't go that small but the row height adjusts anyway).
  • thank you , I try
  • the firefox bookmarks is fine

  • No, that's the menu. I mean the window you get when you choose "Show All Bookmarks".
  • Not found the'chrome' subdirectory of the Firefox profile director....

  • You have to create it and create a userChrome.css file within it.
  • also fine

    When I upgraded to zotero-4.0.14-1 (standalone) . the same problem also appeared

  • 'chrome', not 'Chrome'. It could make a difference if you're using a case-sensitive filesystem, which you probably are on Linux.
    When I upgraded to zotero-4.0.14-1 (standalone) . the same problem also appeared
    But if this was new in Zotero 4.0.13/14, you can ignore everything above. There was a change involving the row height in 4.0.13 in order to address a change in Firefox 25 on Windows. Try the latest 4.0 Branch dev XPI, which should fix the problem. If it does, this will be fixed in 4.0.15.
  • I had the same problem with the line height not adjusting regardless of the font size using Firefox using Ubuntu Linux.
    Installing the 4.0 Branch dev XPI fixed the problem. Thank you!
