WebDAV synch failure to Box

I have the following error message (and report ID is 724503657)

File upload failed. Please check your file sync settings or contact your WebDAV server administrator.

My Box account is fine, log in is all good, I noticed Zotero just updated (and I have the message before and after the update)..

Thoughts? Solutions?

Thanks!

Rudy
  • If you provide a Debug ID for a sync attempt that produces an error, I can tell you the specific error you're getting, but most likely you'll need to speak to them. This might also just be an intermittent error that will go away if you keep trying.
  • The Debug ID is D668476215.

"Them" is Box, in this case?
  • oh, I thought this might be it -- from Box's help pages -- but I get the same error with the new WebDAV :(

    WebDav
On November 15, 2013, we will be transitioning from the current WebDav (https://www.box.com/dav) to a new version (https://dav.box.com/dav) that provides added stability and performance improvements. Please change the URL in any internal apps before November 15 to ensure your users can continue accessing content via WebDav.

You're getting a 423 error, which is a weird, rare error meaning "Locked". So you'll need to ask Box about that.
  • Oh, and I'll add, locking is a feature of WebDAV, but Zotero itself doesn't do any locking, so it shouldn't be triggering this.
  • Box.net also has this feature called file locking that I think prevents you from editing (shared?) files that are being edited by other users. It's only available with a paid account though, so if you are using the free service, I think it's safe to ignore my comment.
