Should I switch to Zotero from Evernote when working with internet newspaper articles?

Hi there,
I'm just beginning a PhD which will involve using capturing, tagging and referencing newspaper articles online. Prior to this I've enjoyed using Evernote as it is easy to capture and tag, but I do need to reference which Zotero seems better at.

Should I switch over completely to Zotero now and import my Evernote files? Or should I continue to clip and tag on Evernote and use Zotero only to reference these articles?

Thanks very much.
Guy
  • My two cents - it depends on how you want to cite the newspaper articles. I used massive amounts of newspaper articles in my dissertation, but don't include individual articles in the bibliography. So using other software (in my case picasa, these were dig pictures of old articles) wasn't a problem. It's a matter of taste, though - you may want all your sources in Zotero, e.g. for the super powerful search saved/search features.
If you do want to end up treating the articles as literature, I'd definitely recommend putting them into Zotero.
  • That's really helpful Adam. I think I will go ahead and put them in.
