Keyboard short cut for "Retrieve metadata"

One of my usual worflows is: dowloading the pdf of a paper, importing it into zotero and then retrieveing the metada for it. For the last step is there a keyboard shortcut or can I even automate it that new PDFs I drag into Zotero automatically retrieve their metadata?

I use Zotero 4.0.11 on Mac OSX with ZotFile 3.0.3. I tried to use the ZotFile automation, but I cannot trigger it on import.

there's nothing built in, but if you want to you can configure keyconfig for this.

The name of the Zotero function is
Zotero_RecognizePDF.recognizeSelected()

Alternatively, you could contact the developer of Zutilo, who may be willing to add this to the list of shortcuts supported by Zutilo:
