Zotero will not install

Dear Zotero,

I have now tried to install Zotero for Firefox again after a reinstallation of my computer where it was upgraded to windows 7 and 64 bit. I run the latest version of firefox.

I can download the word plugin and the standalone version, but I really would like to have the firefox part as it seems to be fitting my work with the dissertation best!

Can anyone give me a helping hand?

    What happens when you try to install from http://www.zotero.org/download/ ?

    That is what I tried - it loads and installs and then it says - do you want to restart and it does, but nothing happens - it will not install.

    I have now done it 200 times and no possibility - I have even added zotero.org as company allowed to install!

    Any ideas?

    You're positive it's not installed? I.e. you have checked under tools --> add-ons in Firefox and it's not listed?

    It proably is, because I can see it under Add-ons -but it still doesn't show in the down right hand corner and I cannot get it opened like it shows in the instruction-video on how to use it! it is there but not activated

    ok, so it's installed, but not working.
    Run through these steps, then
    http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_status_bar_icon
    (the first ones you've already covered).

    thanks - now it works - it worked with enabling it in firefox -great help
