French version of Zotero doesn't have option to create web item from web page

I have the French version of Zotero only because my laptop is set in French: there is a journal that doesn't work with Zotero (Environmental Humanities) and I'd like to cite several articles from this journal: when I open the free-access pdf of one article from there, Zotero doesn't offer the option of saving it; but the alternative solution (creating a web item from this webpage), which has an icon on the toolbar in the English version of Zotero does not exist or appear in the French version. It would be great if this could be changed accordingly.

    This seems highly unlikely, because both versions are essentially identical, except that the text is translated to a different language.

    Could you post a screenshot to some image hosting site like imgur.com and link to it here?

    Are you using Zotero for Firefox? The localization doesn't change which icons appear in Zotero, so this has nothing to do with French vs. English (you can see the icon in the French version of Zotero e.g. here: http://zotero.hypotheses.org/54). But the Create New Webpage item only appears in the Firefox version. If that's not the issue we can look further, but it'd be pretty unlikely for random buttons to disappear.

    Here is the link to the screenshot: I'm really sure because we discovered this during a session at the library to learn how to use Zotero and I was the only one not having it, and spent time with the librarian after who had the same Macbookair and Zotero version for Firefox, but she had this icon and not me.

    No, you're confused. That's Zotero Standalone, shrunk down to look somewhat like Zotero for Firefox. As adamsmith says, the Create Web Page Item from Current Page button appears only in Zotero for Firefox. To save a web page snapshot when using Standalone and a browser plugin, right-click on the page background in the browser and look for the Zotero options.

    Or, for a PDF opened in the browser, drag the favicon (to the left of the URL) to Zotero standalone.
