Date accessed in modified Chicago. Different results from VE and Zotero

Hello,

I am using a very slightly modified Chicago style sheet. In the visual CSL editor the date accessed for a website appears, however it doesn't using Zotero or zotero reference test pane.

I've pasted all relevant information here: http://pastebin.com/C7M1FK0H

including csl file, examples from the visual csl editor and zotero, and the zotero item itself in zotero rtf format.

any help appreciated.

Damian
  • Zotero by default has the "include URL" checkbox under Cite--> Styles in the preferences unchecked, the VE behaves assuming it's checked.
Without the box checked, Zotero omits URLs when there is a page range.
  • That's odd Adam, I checked my zotero preferences (standalone) and "include URL" is checked - the URL is included though, it is the 'date accessed' that is absent is the zotero reference test pane, and also in my compiled scrivener/ LO file.

    Any idea's? Thanks again.
  • sorry, I didn't look at the style when you posted - that's a bug in the visual editor then - we only print accessed dates in Chicago Manual when there is no actual date (that's in line with CMoS rules). You left that test (<if variable="issued" match="none">)in the style, see lines 929 (notes) and 961 (bibliography) in your style on pastebin.
  • I'll check that out, thanks!
