UI freeze

I'm using Zotero standalone on Windows XP and have an occasional problem with the UI freezing. It happens when an item in the center pane is highlighted and I hit a key to move to items starting with that letter in the alphabet. Zotero then freezes, the hourglass icon appears, and the only thing that can be done is to exit. This happens about 10% of the time I try to navigate the center list by using the keyboard. It's pretty irritating. Can someone look into this?

    1) How many items are in your library?

    2) What column are you sorting the middle pane by, and does it matter?

    3) Are you sure this isn't related to something else, like auto-syncing?

    4) If you can reproduce this easily, can you generate real-time debug output for it and email it to support@zotero.org?

    2. Usually by title, but sometimes other columns. I think it happens with all sorts.
    3. I don't have an online account, so I don't do any syncing.

    Sorry, could you set extensions.zotero.debug.time to true in about:config (same process as on the debug output page) and generate debug output again? The output you sent looks normal, so I'll need to see it with timings to show how long each step is taking.

    Also, where are you seeing this, exactly? Does it happen in the library root, in a collection, in a saved search? (It looks like your debug output might be within a saved search?)
