Word plugin for 4.011

Hi there,
Zotero standalone just went through an update yesterday for me. Now I can't interface with Word 2010. What happened to my plugin? Thanks for any help.

"can't interface" isn't enough for use to go by - we'd need a bit more details plus any troubleshooting you may have already done.
  • I've just downloaded Zotero 4 Standalone and opened a document in Word (2007). I can see the Zotero Add-ins but when I try to use it it tells me that "Word could not communicate with Zotero. Please ensure Firefox is running and try again." I've visited the troubleshooting page and no mention of what to do. Why does it not recognise my Google Chrome browser?
  • does that mean you have run through these?

  • Yes. Where does it say anything about Zotero operating with Chrome? It's all about Firefox.....
  • You're not running Zotero in Chrome - that doesn't exist - you're running Zotero Standalone (which has a Chrome extension). So any time this says "Zotero" it refers to your set-up.
The 1st issue typically doesn't apply to Standalone, but 2 and 3 do.
  • Ok. So I thought I had downloaded Zotero with the Chrome extension. So why does it keep asking about Firefox? Do you have any suggestions of how I can make Zotero work for me, with my setup as above?
  • I have just this minute gone into the add-ons manager and tried to Install the Microsfto Word Add-in, but I am told installation cannot be completed because an error occurred. Closing Word and restarting Zotero does not solve the problem. What should I do now, please?
  • trigger the error reinstalling the Word Add-in again and provide an error report ID immediately afterwards:
