Word Citation Editing on another computer

Hey,

I want to use Zotero on two computers. I finally could manage to sync the zotero library between the computers.

When I open my word-file, however, and I want to insert a citation it I am asked to choose a citation style as I would start a new document.

I am scared about not contributing to the same bibliography, when choosing a new (the same) citation style.

How can I edit the same document on two computers?
  • this should just work. If you get the message about choosing a citation style, that suggests something has gone wrong with the doc, i.e. somehow its Zotero connection is broken. Does it still work on the original computer?
  • On the original computer it perfectly works.

But I do not want to destroy anything..
  • what Word versions are you using on the respective computers?
  • Computer where it works: 2013. Computer where it doesn't work 2010
  • ah actually - are you sure you have the citation style used on the original computer installed on the new computer? If you didn't, Zotero would ask you to select one.
  • aha, that might be the problem.. I'll test it tomorrow!
  • works :-), thank you!
